WHAT I DID
Lead UX Web Designer, Logo Design
The Vermont 100 (VT100) is a 100 mile race through the hills of Vermont. The race has one of the sport’s richest histories as one of America’s oldest 100 milers, and is part of the Grand Slam of Ultrarunning. VT100 really needed a new online experience that showed the beauty and history of the race. I was also asked to design an updated logo to commemorate the 30 year anniversary of the race.

MY FAVORITE PART OF THE DESIGN
My favorite part of this design is hands down that I was able to work with my close friend Alex Shaffer, owner or Andercat, who has run (and finished) this race. It provided a really unique look into the mind of someone who is crazy enough to run 100 miles and also provided excellent direction on the types of things users of the site would be most interested in. A really cool feature is the “trail” that draws-in throughout the homepage as you scroll. I came up with this idea with the thought that it would be a unique element that would make the page standout, but also provide a functional space for users to interact with and learn more about the race.
